THE MISADVENTURES OF ROMESH RANGANATHAN
Romesh’s idea of a nice trip away is two weeks in the Algarve, but in this three-part BBC Two series he is travelling way beyond his comfort zone and the world of complimentary breakfast buffets to some of the most beautiful, but dangerous, places on earth. Hosted by locals and fully immersed in the local culture, Romesh gets an eye-opening, and at times heart-stopping, insider’s guide to countries that are big on natural beauty, character and charm.
The series sees Romesh travel to Haiti, Ethiopia and Albania to see if his own preconceptions of these places are real. On each trip he is joined by a local tour guide who will help him embrace the culture and learn if a trip outside of his comfort zone can be enjoyable.
The first episode is now available on iPlayer.
Series continues on Sundays 9:00pm on BBC Two.
