Romesh Ranganathan’s Can’t Knock the Hustle Is Coming Soon to Sky Max
Romesh Ranganathan is officially the busiest man in telly. Between shooting multiple TV shows, writing a children’s novel, hosting a hit radio show and podcast, and partnering with Coughlans Bakery for tasty vegan treats, he somehow found the time to fit in an international stand up tour. Not only that – he filmed a brand new travelogue whilst he was on the road!
Airing early 2025 on Sky Max, Can’t Knock The Hustle sees Romesh travel to India, South Korea, the US, and Canada, as he explores how different cultures maintain a work-life balance. Filmed during the international leg of his sold-out hugely successful Hustle tour, the show features exclusive clips from Romesh’s stand-up routines, which question whether hustling is indeed the key to success.
Romesh said: ‘Stand-ups often deliver a show completely unchecked by logic. We decided to film a series exploring what I’d said on stage and whether I was right. This show confirms the suspicion that I often don’t know what I’m talking about.’
Director Benjamin Green added: ‘It takes a special kind of person to diligently fact-check their tour show – but an even more special kind to wait until after they’ve performed it for thousands of people. Romesh is that person.’
Can’t Knock The Hustle is produced by John Hodgson for Ranga Bee, with Romesh and Benjamin serving as executive producers. The series was commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones, executive director of unscripted originals at Sky, and for Cécile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and chief content officer for Sky. The commissioning editor is Barbara Lee.
