NIGEL NG BRINGS HIS SHOW CULTURE SHOCKED TO SOHO THEATRE

Nominee – Best Newcomer 2019 at Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards

‘Observational humour at its best’ **** – Voice Mag

‘Holds the stage with smiling ease and impressive skill’ **** – The Times

Following an incredible debut run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, which earned sell-out audiences, critical acclaim and a place on the shortlist for Dave’s Best Newcomer, Nigel Ng is bringing that show – Culture Shocked – to the CAN Festival at Soho Theatre in February 2020.

In his debut show, Nigel Ng takes you on a joyous romp through his life in the UK as a Malaysian immigrant. Can he retain his cultural identity under the seduction of the Western world? Or will he succumb to it and start enjoying the bland food served at
Wagamama?

Nigel made his TV debut in 2018 on Comedy Central’s Rob Delaney’s Stand Up Central, shortly followed by Roast Battle.

‘Slick and suave… charmingly assured debut’ – The Scotsman

‘If Malaysia has been on the lookout for its very own Jerry Seinfeld, then there’s a good chance Nigel Ng could eventually be the man for that job’ – The List
