Marjolein Robertson’s Award-Nominated O 2025 UK Tour Announced

Multi-award winning stand-up comedian, improviser, and storyteller Marjolein Robertson is one of the most exciting names on the circuit, and now she is taking her award-nominated show O on tour!

O is a show about the body, and the second in Marjolein’s standup trilogy, exploring a health condition which – left unspoken about in the past – was almost fatal. Now, shaking off the shame and armed with knowledge, Marjolein talks her audience through menstrual health via hilarious standup routines interwoven with a traditional Shetland folk tale about the deity Sea Midder.

This show is not for the faint-hearted, with nine audience members fainting and another 18 walkouts during its run at the Edinburgh Fringe. However, this is not gore for gore’s sake. This show has the potential to save lives. Also: JOKES.

Marjolein is a regular panellist on BBC’s Breaking the News and The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected. Marjolein has also performed stand-up on UKTV’s Rosie Jones’ Disability Comedy Extravaganza and BBC’s Scotland Stands Up. She has written for a number of comedy shows, including the BAFTA Scotland winning Dinosaur for BBC. Marjolein was most recently a finalist in Channel 4’s Sean Lock Comedy Awards 2024.

O was a runaway success for Marjolein at the Edinburgh 2024, achieving a complete sell-out run at Monkey Barrel, receiving a nomination for NextUp’s Biggest Award in Comedy and was officially named as one the best-reviewed comedy shows at the festival. It’s a show you will certainly not want to miss.
