Mark Steel




Sony and Writers Guild Award winning writer and comedian Mark Steel is best known for his critically-acclaimed BBC Radio 4 show Mark Steel’s In Town. Now in it’s 8th series, In Town went onto to win the 2018 BBC Radio Awards Best Comedy Show.

Mark also presented the BAFTA nominated Mark Steel Lectures for BBC Two, and is a regular on BBC One’s Have I Got News For You and BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz. He’s written several, acclaimed books, including: Reasons To Be Cheerful and What’s Going On and he writes a weekly column for The Independent. Mark was awarded the prestigious Columnist of the Year in 2017 for his Independent article.

After his last sell-out tour Mark Steel’s in Town, he returned to Edinburgh in 2015 for the first time in over ten years with his new show Who Do I Think I Am? The show went on to be one of the best reviewed shows that year and was later commissioned for a one off BBC Radio 4 hour long show.

Mark spent Spring 2018 on the road with his show Every Little Things Gonna be Alright.
