Post Sadowitz, Ali Cook is the only UK magician to write and perform his own stand up material in between contemporary magic effects.
Internationally renowned magician, comedian and actor, Ali Cook has been making waves across all three disciplines in recent years. He has written and starred in seven British television series including Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Dirty Tricks and Monkey Magic. Ali Cook’s mix of stand up and magic has made him a headliner on the UK comedy circuit and he performs at celebrity events for the likes of JK Rowling and Damien Hirst. His debut Edinburgh show, Pieces of Strange, was in the top two percent of best-reviewed shows according to The British Comedy Guide. 2011 saw him perform his third sell-out, and critically acclaimed Edinburgh show, Principles of Deception, which was nominated for a Broadway Baby 6 Star award.
Ali has recently starred in The Anomaly (dir. Noel Clarke), sci-fi thriller The Call Up and the BAFTA nominated feature Kajaki. And he is currently on a UK Tour with Principles of Deception.
‘He astounds the crowd with each trick and has them laughing throughout’

‘As well as escapology, Cook does jaw-dropping Derren Brown-style mind-reading feats, fabulously dexterous close-up magic, gruesome gross-out pranks and magic tricks the like of which you’ve never seen before’
‘Like a bonsai David Blaine, but not so smug and irritating, Cook does big things in small places’
